Pionear Recruiting Donates Toward the Columbia Disaster Relief Provided by Meyers Park Methodist Church

Charlotte, N.C., October 10, 2015 – On Friday, October 2, 2015, a storm passed through the Carolinas, lasting throughout the entire weekend, ending in a disastrous flood throughout many towns in South Carolina. NBC News states, “More than 40,000 homes still without running water to drink, cook with and wash with, food banks, churches and other charities are also accepting food, bottled water, clothing, first-aid supplies and cleaning products.” The storm caused multiple deaths and there are still many without food and water leading volunteers from all parts of the nation to help those in need.

Pionear Recruiting, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, took action in aiding victims from the Columbia flood disaster that hit a majority of South Carolina towns last weekend. Meyers Park United Methodist Church was in the process of collecting canned food, along with other basic goods for flood victims. Pionear decided to become involved after hearing about the church’s efforts from one of their employees. The company remarked, “We were eager to do everything we could to help South Carolina victims during this tragic time.” Pionear employees collected canned goods, bottled water, diapers, and cleaning supplies that were delivered to Meyers Park Methodist earlier this week.

Meyers Park United Methodist Church volunteers will be taking donated items to Columbia, South Carolina twice a day for the rest of the week. The church released the following quote via their Facebook page: “Thank you for giving. Your gifts are making a difference. ”. The immense generosity of local companies has truly made a difference for victims in need.
