Pionear Gives Back in Season of Giving

CHARLOTTE, NC – December marks the season of giving across the US. Like most organization, Pionear Recruiting has decided to support a charity for the Holiday season as a way to give back to the community. And while national toy drives are very popular and wonderful causes this time of year, Pionear Recruiting decided to reach out to the unique charity of Heifer International.

With a mission to end hunger and poverty and care for the Earth, Heifer International delivers the gift of an animal to help a family in countries where war has devastated living conditions. Gifts range from various livestock of heifers, sheep, llamas and goats, to the gift of clean water and small business management training for village shopkeepers.

Throughout the month of December, the Pionear team raised a total of $560 for Heifer International, with Pionear’s founders Brian Wright and Jonathan Gruber matching $500 of those contributions. In all, Pionear Recruiting was able to donate $1,060 to the cause.

“As recruiters, it is our job to place the right people in the right jobs. That comes with providing our experience and resources to both our clients and candidates to help find the perfect fit. It only makes sense, then, to help provide resources to families elsewhere in the world so they too can live productive and successful lives. In parts of the world, a sheep or a goat are those resources. Having the opportunity to give that gift of livelihood is something we are privileged to provide,” said Gruber, Chief Financial Officer of Pionear Recruiting.

In addition to their donations to Heifer International, Pionear Recruiting has also been a strong supporter of Charlotte’s local Toys for Tots cause. For the past five years, Pionear Recruiting has been a fundamental sponsor of the Toys for Tots Golf Tournament in Charlotte, NC, helping contribute to over $100,000 worth of toys since the tournament’s inception in 2008.

The Toys for Tots Golf Tournament is the second largest contributor to the Toys for Tots program in North Carolina, only behind the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. With a mission to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children in local communities at Christmas, the tournament provides new toys to children who may not otherwise have had a toy that holiday season. Proceeds from the tournament are generated through event sponsorships and collected toys, and are donated to the United States Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. Pionear has supported this cause as a corporate sponsor of the tournament since 2008.

“It has been our pleasure to support the Toys for Tots Golf Tournament over the years. The cause not only benefits children, but also has a positive impact on our community and the people in it,” said Gruber. “Every day we strive to serve our clients and candidates, but we also believe in serving our local communities. We have that opportunity to support Charlotte’s families with the T4T golf tournament every year.” Whether giving a family the living gift of opportunity or a child the gift of joy through a new toy, the gift of giving is worth much more than receiving.
