Instead of attending cocktail hours for general networking, look for events that are specific to your industry. No one loves squeezing into cramped ballrooms, hoping that the right person will end up with the right business card. Looking for events in your industry, makes this process a little more tolerable. You’ll meet people with similar interests, who have connections in your industry.

Try tracking your progress through out your entire job search. Creating and meeting your measurable goals can be extremely motivating. Nothing builds confidence, like seeing all the goals you’ve met!

Lastly, don’t forget to take some time for yourself. Sitting in front of your computer for hours can be frustrating. Make sure you take regular breaks each day to feed yourself properly and get some exercise. You’ll thank yourself in the long run!
